What do I get when I buy a pack?
Depending on the product, you’ll receive a professional sample pack, Serum 2 presets, or both — ready to load into your DAW. Exact contents are listed on each product page under Contains and Compatibility.
How does instant download delivery work?
Our products are digital downloads. After checkout you’ll get immediate access to download your files — no shipping, no waiting on physical media.
How do I install your products?
Our samples are standard .wav files. After unzipping your download, browse and preview them in Finder (macOS), File Explorer (Windows), or your DAW’s audio file browser / previewer, then drag them into your project.
Serum 2 — .serumpack files: If the pack includes a .serumpack file, open Serum 2 in your DAW, then either drag the file onto the Serum 2 window or use Menu → Import Preset Pack… and select it. Find the sounds in Serum’s preset browser afterward. If they don’t appear, use Menu → Rescan Folders on Disk.
Serum 2 — raw folders & individual .SerumPreset files: Unzip the download. In Serum 2, go to Menu → Open Serum 2 Presets Folder. Copy the entire preset folder into the Presets → User folder — keep the folder structure intact. Then choose Menu → Rescan Folders on Disk (or restart Serum) so the presets show under User. Typical paths: macOS /Library/Audio/Presets/Xfer Records/Serum 2 Presets/Presets/User/ — Windows C:\Users\[Your Username]\Documents\Xfer\Serum 2 Presets\Presets\User\
Ableton Live racks: Packs that include Ableton racks can be used by dragging them into your Live set from the Ableton browser.

Are your samples and presets royalty-free?
Yes. All Planet Fire Samples audio and Serum 2 presets are 100% royalty-free for use in your music. You keep the rights to the tracks you create with them.
Can I use these sounds in commercial releases?
Yes. You can use our royalty-free samples and presets in commercial tracks, client work, sync placements, and releases — sold or free — without paying extra clearance fees to us.
Do you use AI to create your sounds?
No. We don’t use generative AI to create our samples or Serum 2 presets. Every sound is crafted by humans for producers who want authentic, club-ready tools.
What file formats and compatibility should I expect?
Audio is always delivered as 24-bit WAV. Serum products require Serum 2. Some products are DAW-specific and require the latest version of the DAW they target — for example, Ableton Live 12.4+. Pack-specific DAW and plugin details are listed in the Compatibility accordion on each product page.
Is this a subscription or a one-time purchase?
One-time purchase. Buy once, download your files, and they’re yours to keep — no subscription required for access.
What’s your refund policy?
